Welcome to my Travel Blog! My life goal is to get to all seven continents and all 50 U.S. states, with as many countries in between as possible.

Living in the border city of Buffalo, NY and growing up with two grandparents who immigrated to the United States from Europe, travel has always been a huge part of my life. I can’t even remember the first time I traveled outside the United States. As a young child, my family and I had traveled to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada.

I remember my first trip to Europe vividly. I was in seventh grade, and my dad found a deal to Paris for a few days. It was the most exciting thing in the world, to see such an incredible city I had only read about. There was the Eiffel Tower in all its splendor, the Arc De Triomphe, and the Louvre with works of art I had only ever studied. We took day trips to Versailles and Normandy. Such splendor and opulence in the palace was juxtaposed to the somberness and loss felt at the site of D-Day. And interestingly enough, a former Buffalo Bills player was also on our bus tour from Paris to Normandy. This first trip to Europe was so incredible that I was hooked and knew travel would be a priority in my life forever.

Since that first trip to Europe, I’ve studied abroad in Spain, worked at the Olympics in China, traveled to six continents and dozens of countries, with more trips planned.

So why blog now?

I decided to start blogging now, as I’m getting ready for my next trip because I find myself once again planning out itineraries and creating packing lists. I have had several people reach out to me ahead of their trips for advice and things to do, and I realized that even if I’m not a travel reporter for the Travel Channel or National Geographic or some other mainstream publication, I can still be my own travel reporter here, while sharing my experiences and expertise. I’ve kept journals on all my major trips, so I can look back and add my itineraries and experiences.
